Scottish Country Dancing

Scottish Country Dancing is a social form of Celtic dancing using the traditional reels, jigs, and strathspeys of Scotland.
Unlike the showier Highland Dancing (fling & sword dance), Scottish Country dancing emphasizes social interaction. Dances are typically performed in sets of 6-8 people to lively fiddle, accordian and piano tunes. Once you learn a few basic steps and formations you’ll be able to do hundreds of dances. No Scottish background is necessary, and dancers of all ages are welcome!
Scottish dancing is performed all over the world.
We typically dance to recorded music by Scottish bands but sometimes have live music.
